IMDA Energy Efficiency Grant (Data Centres)
The IMDA Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) supports businesses that use Singapore commercial data centres to adopt energy-efficient IT equipment. IMDA administers this grant for Data Centre users as part of the broader multi-agency EEG programme. Both SMEs and non-SMEs can apply, provided their group annual sales turnover does not exceed S$500 million. SMEs receive up to 70% co-funding; non-SMEs receive up to 30%. Grant support is capped at S$30,000 per company across all EEG applications. Equipment must be purchased AFTER receiving the Letter of Offer — do not commit to purchase before approval. IMDA administers the Energy Efficiency Grant specifically for companies using Singapore commercial data centres. Other sectors are handled by BCA (Construction), NEA (Manufacturing), MPA (Maritime), and EnterpriseSG (Food Services/Retail).
S$30,000 per company for the grant period (until 31 March 2027). Multiple applications are allowed, subject to the total cap.

For the purpose of the 70% funding rate, SME means Group Annual Sales Turnover of no more than S$100 million OR Group Employment Size of not more than 200 employees. Non-SMEs (with turnover above S$100M or more than 200 staff, up to the S$500M eligibility ceiling) receive 30% support instead.

Data Centre users are exempt from the 30% local shareholding requirement that applies to other EEG sectors.
Only the actual purchase price of eligible equipment is supported. Delivery fees, installation charges, and other ancillary costs are excluded. You must not receive any incentive or rebate from the vendor.
