SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP)

The SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) supports mid-career individuals in acquiring industry-relevant skills to improve employability and pivot to new sectors or job roles. This train-and-place programme is available in part-time or full-time format, typically ranging from three to 12 months, and is delivered by Continuing Education and Training (CET) Centres with employment facilitation services. Courses under the SCTP have been progressively launched since April 2022, with a target to have at least 200 SCTP courses by 2025. The programme focuses on sectors with good hiring opportunities such as Infocomm and Technology, Professional Services, and Advanced Manufacturing. It operates on a train-and-place modality with career advisory and employment assistance.

SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)

The SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) aims to encourage employers to undertake enterprise and workforce transformation initiatives. It provides additional support, over and above existing schemes, to eligible employers for their enterprise and workforce transformation efforts. Eligible employers receive a one-off credit of S$10,000 per entity to cover up to 90% of out-of-pocket expenses on qualifying costs. The SFEC was originally announced in Budget 2020 and expanded in Budget 2022. As announced in Budget 2025, the current SFEC has been further extended until the redesigned SFEC is ready in the second half of 2026. From H2 2026, the SFEC will be redesigned under the new Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package (EWTP), with all qualifying companies receiving a fresh $10,000 credit.
