Business Events in Singapore (BEiS)

The Business Events in Singapore (BEiS) scheme aims to attract and grow high-quality events in Singapore in the long term, as well as catalyse the innovation of new content. BEiS seeks to encourage the business events industry to anchor and grow high-quality events in Singapore, and also aims to spark content innovation. BEiS supports activities that will build the foundation for quality business events in Singapore in the long term, including pre-event activities such as business and capability development initiatives, conducting of market feasibility studies, and bidding activities. The scheme is managed by the Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau™ (SECB), a division of STB. Funding is granted based on the scope and merits of the project through a highly competitive evaluation process.

Business Improvement Fund (BIF)

The Business Improvement Fund (BIF) helps tourism businesses boost productivity and competitiveness by supporting technology innovation and adoption, business model and process enhancements, and sustainability initiatives across the tourism industries. It is one of STB's most established grant schemes and is particularly targeted at companies within the tourism sector. BIF supports projects that lead to business transformation, capability development, and long-term sustainability. Companies in the tourism ecosystem — including accommodation providers, travel agencies, attractions, MICE organisers, tour operators, and lifestyle/retail businesses with a strong tourism focus — can leverage BIF to drive innovation, improve operations, and deliver exceptional visitor experiences. The fund supports both SMEs and non-SMEs with different funding levels for each category.

Experience Step-Up Fund (ESF)

Aimed at increasing the attractiveness of Singapore to visitors, the Experience Step-Up Fund (ESF) supports the development and enhancement of Singapore's tourism experiences. The ESF was introduced by STB to help businesses in the tourism industry enhance and innovate their tourism products and services, encouraging them to develop unique and high-quality tourism experiences that attract both domestic and international tourists. Generative AI (GenAI) Programme

IMDA's Generative AI (GenAI) Programme helps digitally mature enterprises understand GenAI and implement solutions with tech partners to access new markets, boost productivity, and create new products. The programme is delivered through two tracks: 1. **GenAI x Digital Leaders (GenAI x DL)** — a project-based track with a Tech Discovery phase (understand GenAI, identify use cases, receive tech advisory) followed by a Project Implementation phase (partner with vendors, deploy solutions, receive governance and best-practice guidance). 2. **CTO-as-a-Service** — off-the-shelf GenAI-powered solutions available without customisation via the CTO-as-a-Service portal. Common use cases supported include Knowledge Mining, Customer Engagement, Conversational Analytics, Operations Automation, and Content Generation.

Good Design Research & Development (GDRD)

Good Design Research & Development (GDRD) is a DesignSingapore Council (Dsg) initiative under the Design 2035 Masterplan. It supports non-design organisations in adopting design as a strategic capability for innovation and growth, while enabling design firms to develop new capabilities, services and products that strengthen Singapore's design sector. GDRD supersedes the earlier Good Design Research (GDR) programme and now covers the full innovation journey through three project types. Design Research helps organisations understand users, identify opportunities and validate assumptions, culminating in a validated Proof-of-Concept (POC). Design Development transforms a validated POC into a market-ready product, service, system or experience through prototyping, pilot deployment, testing, small-scale production and commercialisation. Design Research + Development combines both stages in a single project. Co-funding is up to 50% of qualifying project costs incurred within the approved qualifying period: up to S$50,000 over 12 months for Design Research, up to S$450,000 over 24 months for Design Development, and up to S$500,000 over 36 months for a combined project. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee funding — applications are assessed on merit, impact and the availability of funds.

Green Mark Incentive Scheme for Existing Buildings 2.0 (GMIS-EB 2.0)

The Green Mark Incentive Scheme for Existing Buildings 2.0 (GMIS-EB 2.0) is a S$63-million cash incentive scheme launched on 30 June 2022 as part of the Singapore Green Building Masterplan (SGBMP). The scheme aims to raise the energy performance of existing buildings and accelerate the pace to green 80% of Singapore's buildings by 2030. It replaces the earlier GMIS-EB 1.0 scheme with updated criteria and broader building type coverage. GMIS-EB 2.0 is an outcome-based scheme where funding support is calculated based on the Green Mark certification rating achieved and the extent of carbon emissions reduction through Energy Improvement Works (EIWs). The scheme provides grant support to building owners to lower the upfront capital costs for energy efficiency retrofits and improve the returns on investment, particularly for buildings targeting Super Low Energy (SLE) or Zero Energy (ZE) standards. It covers commercial, institutional, light industrial, and residential buildings.

Tourism Development Fund (TDF)

Singapore Tourism Board (STB) partners with the tourism sector to strengthen Singapore's tourism through the Tourism Development Fund (TDF). The TDF is the umbrella framework that encompasses all STB grant schemes, designed to catalyse the creation of innovative and quality tourism products and experiences, and support capability and employee upgrading efforts among tourism-related enterprises. The TDF consists of three main schemes targeting different dimensions of tourism development: Tourism Capability Development Scheme (including BIF, LEAD, and TIP-iT), Tourism Event Development Scheme (including BEiS, Kickstart Fund, and LEF), and Tourism Product Development Scheme (including CDF, ESF, and TPDF). Tourism Product Development Fund (TPDF)

The Tourism Product Development Fund (TPDF) is aimed at enhancing Singapore's attractiveness as a tourist destination through supporting the creation and/or major rejuvenation of tourism products. TPDF focuses on larger-scale initiatives — building or rejuvenating major tourism products, including attractions and standalone infrastructure development, to strengthen Singapore's tourism attractiveness. A critical distinction is that TPDF specifically requires that major rejuvenation of existing tourism products includes the creation of or introduction of new content for visitors. Refurbishment work (i.e., hardware improvement and maintenance works) with no content refresh are not eligible. This ensures the fund supports genuinely transformative projects rather than routine maintenance. TPDF sits within the Tourism Product Development Scheme alongside the Cruise Development Fund (CDF) and Experience Step-Up Fund (ESF), but targets the most substantial product-level interventions — new attractions, major upgrades to existing ones, and standalone infrastructure that enhances Singapore's tourism proposition.

Water Efficiency Fund (WEF)

The Water Efficiency Fund (WEF) was launched by PUB in 2007 to encourage organisations to seek efficient and innovative ways to manage their water demand. Enhanced from July 1, 2023, the fund covers all stages from exploratory to implementation, supporting companies in water conservation and efficiency improvements. The fund has increased its maximum support for recycling projects from S$1 million to S$5 million.
