Social Enterprise Community Urban Farm (SECUF) Grant

Infrastructure Support Grant: 25% of infrastructure setup costs (cap $500,000 per site); Programming Support Grant: Up to 50% of setup and programming cost (cap $50,000 per SE)

The SECUF Grant encourages Social Enterprises (SEs) to set up and operate Community Urban Farms and conduct gardening/horticulture-related programmes for seniors, persons with special needs, and low-income individuals/families. Launched in 2021 under the Gardening with Edibles initiative as part of Singapore's vision of Growing our City in Nature. Community Urban Farms are gardening hubs that bring the community together through edibles gardening and curated horticulture programmes. Activities include leasing allotment gardening plots, organising workshops and lessons, community harvest festivals, and coordinating the sale/distribution of harvests.

Eligibility Criteria

    Must be a Social Enterprise registered with raiSE (Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise)

    Must not have tapped other government grants of similar nature for the same project

  • 03

    Infrastructure Grant: Must have successfully tendered for pre-identified SECUF sites with 5-year undertaking period

    Programming Grant: Must propose plan for at least 120 unique participants per application

GST-registered applicants cannot claim input tax during reimbursement.

Infrastructure-funded SEs must maintain and operate the SECUF for a 5-year undertaking period.
