Professional Capability Grant (PCG) — Overseas Training Grant

Up to 60% of actual expenditure, capped at $20,000. Up to 80% if presenting a paper at a conference.

The Overseas Training Grant supports specialised training programmes that are not available in Singapore, including short-term conferences and seminars, specialised certification courses, and study trips. Higher funding rates are available for professionals presenting papers at international conferences, encouraging agencies to showcase their work to the international community.

Eligibility Criteria

    Must be a permanent staff member (Singaporean or PR) of an NCSS member or MSF-funded SSA

  • 02

    Must have been employed by the SSA for at least 1 year at point of application

  • 03

    Training must directly relate to job scope and be of direct social service nature

  • 04

    Agency and staff must not have received the grant in the last 2 years

  • 05

    For agencies with multiple programmes, each programme can apply for one staff member once every 2 years

  • 06

    Training must not have already commenced

  • 07

    No political or religious proselytization content

  • 08

    Application must be submitted at least 2 months before course commencement

How to Apply

1. Identify specialised overseas training relevant to your role 2. Apply via the OurSG Grants (OSG) portal at oursggrants.gov.sg at least 2 months before course start 3. Check the PCG submission dates PDF for deadlines 4. Approvals are first-come, first-served subject to budget availability 5. After training, share knowledge with other SSAs at NCSS-identified platforms
